Meatloaf

There's nothing like a good meatloaf for Sunday Dinner! This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Ingredients

3 pounds 80/20 ground beef ( You can use ground turkey, ground pork or ground veal)

3 eggs

Cornflake crumbs

Sea Salt

Salt pepper

Garlic powder

Onion

Green bell pepper

Red bell pepper

Honey

Tomato Sauce

Milk

Ketchup

Mustard

Parsley

Herbs de Provence

1 packet Lipton onion soup mix

1 Ranch powder packet

*******It can be difficult to tell when meatloaf is done because of it's color and texture so use a probe and make sure the internal temp is 160 degrees*******

****Make sure you wash your hands throughly because you need to work the meat into a loaf****

Directions:

1. In large bowl, place your 3 lbs of meat

2. Dice your onions, green pepper and red bell pepper and add to the 3 lbs of meat.

3. Add your 3 eggs to the mixture

4. Now add a liberal amount of mustard, black pepper, sea salt, herbs de Provence, and garlic powder ( Don’t be afraid to add the liberal amounts. Due to the size of the meat, it will ensure flavor through out the meatloaf)

5. Now add (1) packet of onion soup mix

6. Now add (1) packet of ranch powder

7. Now add about half a cup of ketchup

8. Add a Liberal amount of cornflake crumbles

9. Add 1 to 1 and half cups of milk

10. If you have’t already wash your hands and mix the meatloaf mixture. Don’t over handle it, just make sure you get everything well incorporated

11. Now make your loaf and Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees

12. Pour about half a cup of water in the bottom of the pan you are using for the loaf

13. Cook your meatloaf for 45-50 min

14. While your meatloaf is cooking make a glaze using about half a cup of ketchup, half a cup of tomato sauce and 1 TBSP of honey ( Taste and add more honey if you like)

Once the meatloaf has cooked for 45-50 min, apply your glaze to meatloaf, and cook for additional 15 min.

14. Once done, remove meatloaf and let it rest for 10-15 min.

Enjoy!!
