Smoked Honeybaked ham:
Smoked Honeybaked Ham Glaze:
* ½ cup Orange Juice
* ½ cup Apple Juice
* ¼ cup Brown Sugar
* ¼ cup Honey
Whisk these ingredients together over Med. High heat until it reaches a low boil. Reduce the mixture for 3-5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Glaze the ham, and now get ready for the sugar blend:
Sugar Blend to Smoke A Honeybaked Ham
* ½ cup Brown Sugar
* ½ cup Natural Sugar in the Raw (Turbinado Sugar)
* ½ tsp Ground Ginger
* ½ tsp Cinnamon
* ½ tsp Fresh Ground Nutmeg
* ½ tsp Spanish Paprika
Apply the sugar blend to the outside of the ham.
Once the outside of the ham is covered with the sugar mixture, it’s ready for the smoker.
To cook the ham the smoker needs to be between 275-300 degrees. A nice fruit wood like apple or cherry will do a great job. As I mentioned before, all we are doing is double smoking the ham. The ham Is ready to eat out of the package. All we are doing is warming it up and adding smoke. You should finish the ham at 2-3 hours (depending on the size of the ham). You want to make sure the internal temp is 140 degrees. Makes sure not to go too much longer because you will dry it out. Let it rest about 10 minutes once it finishes and enjoy!
